About this course
Released in 2020, the DANA-i insulin pump is the successor to the DANA RS — the world’s first insulin pump to make use of a patient’s own smartphone as a fully-fledged remote control. Measuring 97 × 47 × 22 mm and weighing 86 g (including the battery), the DANA-i is about half the weight of a standard insulin pump.
This module will provide comprehensive start-up training for the DANA-i Pump, plus advanced tips and tricks for healthcare providers and diabetes patients alike. However, please note that these videos are not intended as medical advice. Make it a point to consult with your healthcare provider before making any adjustments to your therapy.
Learning Objective
By the end of these videos, you’ll be able to:
- identify the parts of the DANA-i insulin pump and operate the device;
- program the pump’s insulin settings;
- replace the DANA-i reservoir and infusion sets; and
- respond to DANA-i system alarms.
As a healthcare provider, you will acquire the knowledge to confidently support DANA-i users; as a user, you will gain key insights for optimizing your experience with the device.
