About this course
It’s a pleasure to welcome you to this course on artificial intelligence in diabetes care. AI is rapidly finding its way into everyday diabetes tools: from CGM apps that forecast glucose trends, to software that suggests insulin adjustments, triages retinal images, or drafts clinical notes. These systems promise better prediction, less administrative burden, and more personalized care—but only if we understand what they are actually doing.
Learning Objective
With this knowledge, you will be able to look at any AI claim in diabetes care and ask the right questions:
- What type of system is this?
- What data does it rely on?
- How was it evaluated?
- How much autonomy does it have?
- And, most importantly, does it actually improve care for my patients?
All material is completely independent from device manufacturers and is intended as education, not as individual medical advice; for any changes in therapy, always consult the responsible healthcare team and follow local guidelines and regulations.
